Plasma Display Retailer envisionTEK Nabs Ad Space on Million Dollar Homepage

The site launched late last year, and the goal was to sell 1 million pixels to advertisers at the rate of $1 per pixel. The concept  the site  took off, driven by a surge of publicity and a pack of advertisers who saw it as a one-of-kind opportunity. Tew sold his last block of pixels, 1,000 of them, at an online auction site in January.envisionTEK acquired its spot in January, after Tew had sold his last batch of pixels.

The company purchased the spot through an Internet auction from a former Million Dollar Homepage advertiser. It cost $1,100.
