New York City, New York (ContentDesk) April 20, 2006 -- Rear-projection screens have received rave reviews recently as a less-expensive alternative to flat screen TVs or plasma TVs. These rear-projection TVs still have a large sticker price, up to $3000, but many consumers complain that the screen quality and technology is not as advanced.Consumers that have been convinced to buy the new product on the block are complaining that their Sony-brand rear projection TVs do not have stellar performance. Consumers have complained that their Sony LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) TVs have screen malfunctions and buzzing noises. Allegedly, some say the large (41 inch plus) screen becomes pixelated or bleeds, some have problems with buzzing sounds, other have problems with the lamp/bulb or the TV turning on. A law firm is investigating a potential class action lawsuit against Sony on behalf of consumers who purchased certain rear projection LCD television sets (RPTV).

How Much Water Should You Drink Per Day?
I'm always amazed at how many people seem to know the answer to this question yet in practice they fail.
Everybody I've talked to seems to know that 8-12 glasses of water a day is the recommended standard.
But if I ask them how many glasses of water have you consumed today?
The answer is usually none.
Or the other standard answer at a corporate environment "does coffee count?"While 8-12 glasses of water is great for the average sedentary person, many of us are fitness conscious or on the pursuit of some type of bodybuilding physique.
With that in mind, I think the new standard for us should be 1-2 gallons of water a day.As a bodybuilder, you are putting much more nutrients, food, supplements, and other stuff into your body.
What your body does not use, it must rid itself of by any means necessary.
Usually it does this via water.
So drinking plenty of water becomes a necessity.
Increasing protein puts a strain...

How Do Plasma Televisions Work?
Plasma TVs have been one of the most popular home entertainment solutions on the market for several years. They offer outstanding resolution and a quality picture and are usually capable of displaying HDTV signals, allowing you to watch all of your favourite HDTV programs. Compared to rear projection TVs, plasma technology offers some of the best viewing angles- no need to fight over the best seat anymore- and offer uniform screen brightness. But how does plasma technology work? It's pretty simple. Some form of inert gas- say Xenon, for example, is inserted between two plates, which are held together, between which are over two million pixels, capable of producing a mind-boggling array of colors. The gas is then energized by a charge which turns it into a viscous substance, creating an ultraviolet light, which allows each pixel to display the appropriate color.
Unlike rear-projection TVs, each pixel in a plasma display contains red, blue, and green phosphors, there is no need for...

Plasma HDTV
Plasma televisions are based on a new technology that utilizes a unique display panel that alleviates the need for a cathode-ray picture tube. One of the major benefits of buying these televisions is that they are sized to accommodate new HDTV 16:9 aspect ratios and have a similar pixel resolution to a personal computer monitor. This provides the product the maximum picture clarity. In other words, a plasma display has an emissive flat panel display in which light is created by phosphors that are excited by a plasma discharge between two flat panels of glass. The gas discharge contains no mercury, but instead has a mixture of noble gases.
One of the basic things that the plasma screen does is illuminate the tiny colored fluorescent lights to form an image. Three fluorescent lights are red, green and blue, and constitute each pixel.
Plasma is stated to be the "Fourth State of Matter", after solid, liquid and gas. It is considered a distinct state of matter that contains...
